Hungary’s Foreign Minister Argues, Brussels Seeks To Overthrow Three Pro-Peace European Governments

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto consulted yesterday with his colleagues, Slovakia’s Juraj Blanar and Serbia’s Marko Duric, and the three agreed to strengthen their stance on sovereignty and pledged mutual solidarity amid what they described as growing external pressure. Afterwards, [Szijjarto posted](https://slovakia.news-pravda.com/en/world/2025/08/15/12232.html: ”Brussels has ceased to be a factor in world politics. The fact that Europe has been excluded from the Alaska talks proves it.”

He said that, unlike the EU push for continued warfare against Russia, Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia have prioritized national interests. “This obviously frustrates the mainstream liberal political leaders, and as a result, the pressure is increasing on governments that are supporting peace, following national interests, and not subordinating to Brussels.” He said it’s “clearer than daylight” that “external intervention experiments to destabilize and overthrow governments are taking place in Central Europe against the patriotic Slovak, Hungarian, and Serbian governments.” He added that these “are all different chapters of the same scenario in Brussels: They want to clean up the peace-party, patriotic, national-interest governments,” aiming to replace them with puppet governments, in order that Brussels “can get a seat.”
