‘Historic Day’ in Italy for Bridge over the Strait of Messina

The Government Committee for Economic Planning and Sustainable Development (CIPESS), the supreme court, so to speak, to authorize public works, gave the final green light this morning for the construction of the Messina Bridge, the 3.3 km suspension bridge that will connect Sicily to the Italian mainland.

The CIPESS is chaired by the Prime Minister and involves several ministers, including Infrastructure (Salvini), Finance, Economy, Environment, and others.
