NASA Extends Contracts on Russian-Language Services through 2028

Following the visit of Roscosmos General Director Dmitry Bakanov to the United States in July, NASA has extended the contract with the American company Tech Trans International which provides language and logistics services for the International Space Station until September 30, 2028. The present contract will not expire for another year, so the early renewal indicates a willingness on the part of the Administration to move forward on cooperation. There were also indications that Russia might be prepared to remain on the ISS until 2030.
