After being briefed by Trump on the Anchorage talks, leaders of France, England, Germany, Italy, Poland, Finland, and the EU Commission issued a joint statement saying they are satisfied with the result of the talks, particularly the idea of U.S. guarantees for Ukraine’s security, and offer their services for further negotiation, followed by the usual formulas on Ukraine’s borders, security, membership of NATO, EU, etc. clearly aimed at showing a grim face for domestic consumption.
