On July 31, Slovenia announced that it had become the first European country to ban weapons trade with Israel. “The decision follows previous announcements by the Prime Minister who clearly stated on several occasions … that Slovenia would act independently if the European Union could not take concrete measures by mid-June,” says the announcement.
Slovenia feels that “it is the duty of every responsible country to take action.”
