Under pressure to put a lid on the enormous volume of posts supportive of the Palestinians and documenting atrocities committed by the State of Israel, the social media platform TikTok decided to hire Erica Mindel, a “proud American Jew” to manage “hate speech” on the platform.
Zionist groups have made no secret about their efforts to shut down TikTok. The President and CEO of Jewish Federations of North America said, with respect to the March 2024 legislation to force TikTok parent company ByteDance to divest from the platform, “TikTok has helped fuel a horrific spike in anti-Semitism that our communities are feeling every day, and it’s time to take action.”
