The Lead

WIll the United States Finally Free Itself from the British Empire? If Not, Will Mankind Survive?

by Diane Sare (EIRNS) — Sep. 28, 2025

There is a great power struggle in the world, and nowhere is it more sensuous than inside the United States.

The question which must be answered by the American people is, “What is the mission of our republic?”

Leaders from across the world, speaking at the United Nations are decrying the descent into lawlessness and the arbitrary double standards. Many refer to it as “rule of the stronger” as opposed to “rule of law.” Many are calling for reform of the UN Security Council to allow representation from the Global South, now the Global Majority.

But so far, the Global Majority have not been able to stop the Israeli-perpetrated, American- funded genocide in Gaza, nor end the Ukraine war. It is even likely that Israeli war criminal Bibi Netanyahu, who will be meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday, Sept. 29, will get the green light for yet another strike on Iran.

The American people are weary of the internal percussive political divide, and sick of the genocide being carried out in our name. There is a growing revolt against the AIPAC-funded narrative, so much so that it is nearly impossible to get a list of the 250 state legislators who travelled to Israel for the “Fifty States, One Israel” conference earlier this month, probably because many of these people know they will lose their elections if the voters find out they participated.

At the same time, the work of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to pursue the nest of traitors in the intelligence community who sought to plunge our nation into a war against Russia through the Russiagate hoax is slowly moving forward. Former FBI Director James Comey, who recently threatened to assassinate President Trump with his “cool 8647” shell formation, has finally been indicted for lying to the Congress about the Russia collusion lies. It has now emerged that another former FBI Director Christopher Wray also lied to Congress, when he denied that any FBI agents, let alone 274 of them (!!!) were embedded in the crowd of Trump supporters swarming the Capitol Building on January 6th. WIll he also be indicted?

But the war is not a war of “information” or “narratives.” While it might make some of us happy, jailing people who truly deserve it will not solve the problem we face unless we commit ourselves to a future-elevated state of existence for mankind. The Chinese have called this the “community of a shared future for mankind.” They have demonstrated the principle by lifting over 850 million of their people out of poverty.

The intention of the authors of the American Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution was to establish a model of self-government that upheld the principle of the equality and dignity of every human being. Most of them were well aware that slavery was not consistent with that, and were working to end that barbaric practice. The treatment of the Native American peoples is another blot on our history in our challenging path to “form a more perfect Union.” It has been an ongoing struggle to rid our republic of those leftovers of Empire who infect every institution with a bestial view of man. Despite the efforts of these Tory traitors, our nation has produced a number of great Presidents, including George Washington, John Quincy Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, and had he lived, President John F. Kennedy. Our nation has produced leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who was qualified to be President, and more recently Lyndon LaRouche, who would have been President had the system not been rigged to prevent it.

It is urgent that in this 250th year of our existence, we finally reject the legacy of Empire and revive the work of the geniuses throughout history who made our nation possible. First and foremost, Americans must get to know the thinking of our greatest statesman Lyndon LaRouche. His policy initiatives, particularly his Four Laws, which provide the roadmap under the U.S. Constitution and will be the topic of the LaRouche activists’ call Monday night at 8 p.m. EDT.
