China has added three U.S. firms that it says “endanger China’s national security and interests” to an export-control list.

So-called dual-use items can no longer be exported to the three firms without a government-issued waiver, the Ministry of Commerce announced.

One of the three is Huntington Ingalls Industries, the largest shipbuilder in the United States, whose Newport News Shipbuilding branch is the only facility in the country capable of producing, maintaining, and refueling aircraft carriers.

The other two are smaller defense contractors, Planate Management Group and Global Dimensions LLC.
