'Coalition of the Willing' Reportedly Frustrated with Trump

It seems that the conversation the European leaders had with U.S. President Donald Trump during the Paris meeting on Sept. 4 was not entirely satisfactory to the Europeans. TASS, citing the German tabloid Bild, reported that the discussion was “heated” and that the Europeans were left feeling “dissatisfied and disappointed.”

According to Bild, “even after Thursday’s phone call, the European side does not expect Trump to decide to impose sanctions against Russia.” The Europeans proposed sending their representatives to Washington within 48 hours to set up a joint working group on the issue of imposing new sanctions against Russia. “However, it is unclear whether Trump agreed to this,” the newspaper pointed out.
