September 8 marks the 103rd birthday of former U.S. Presidential candidate Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr. As the scientist Benjamin Franklin, who conspired with other brilliant figures to create the constitutional Republic of the United States of America, is known today for his contribution to our nation, Lyndon LaRouche will be known by future generations as the American intellectual who carried the spark of anti-colonial defiance from the American War of Independence to the New World Economic Order, which has now been joined by over 85% of the world’s population. LaRouche’s widow, Schiller Institute Founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche has launched an urgent initiative to bring the backward governments of the West into alignment with the new paradigm with a mass-circulation statement, “The Nations of the West Must Cooperate with the New World Economic Order.”
In his prescient July 25, 2007 webcast, delivered live to a Washington, D.C. audience, with many more listening online, Lyndon LaRouche not only warned about the impending crash of the British Liberal City of London and Wall Street financial system, but in the context of then-Vice President Dick Cheney’s plans for war with Iran, outlined the necessary solution:
”[T]he President of the United States, or the Office of the President of the United States, has to make an offer to Putin, and Putin will, without question, accept the offer. And that is, to build a coalition immediately, in the context of moving these troops, U.S. troops, away from the area of conflict [Southwest Asia], where all they are, are targets; they’re not accomplishing anything, except being targets.…
“All right, now, if we approach Russia and Putin, Putin will accept the offer. If the United States government proposes to President Putin that the United States, Russia, China, with the support of India, become a sponsoring committee to build immediately a group among nations who are going to address these global problems which have to be dealt with immediately—because, smaller nations, individual nations can’t do it. You have to change the world monetary-financial system immediately, and you can not do that with a couple of small nations. You can only do that from the top. You have to pull together the might of the world, the major powers of the world and those who will support them, and say, ‘We’re going to change immediately the world monetary system. We’re going to get rid of the floating-exchange-rate monetary system. We’re going back immediately to a fixed-exchange-rate system.’ Because if we do not go back to a fixed-exchange-rate system, of the Franklin Roosevelt prototype, then there’s no possibility of preventing a general collapse and disintegration of the world economy. It can’t be done. Therefore, you have to have a power group which says, ‘We’re going to save this planet from Hell.’”
The tension could not be greater. Beast-man Bibi Netanyahu using his new toys developed by conscienceless tech-nerds from Silicon Valley to target the civilian population of Gaza CIty, killing them in large numbers by remotely bombing multi-story apartment buildings, has evoked the anguish, disgust, and righteous anger of the majority of the world’s people, including emphatically citizens of the United States and U.K., who are taking to the streets in protest.
The United Nations must be challenged to act, with the power that they have, to put a stop to this carnage by invoking Resolution 377, Uniting for Peace, which can be passed with merely a two-thirds majority in the General Assembly and can mandate protective action, including enforcing the delivery of aid. The question has been asked, “Will the United States and Israel take military action against an international force protecting delivery of humanitarian aid?” The fact that the answer is not known indicates the depth of the corruption of the United States political process.
The only way to safely and surely stop the genocide in Gaza, the war in Ukraine, and other ongoing atrocities across the globe is to get the United States to remember its anti-colonial, international identity, and join with the nations of the Global Majority, bringing to the table Lyndon LaRouche’s economic principles of fixed-exchange rates, and increasing potential relative population density. That this is our actual legacy was made very clear in The LaRouche Organization’s Friday Symposium with historian Anton Chaitkin, who presented the unknown story of the international industrial revolution instigated by American patriots and their partners in India, Russia, and Mexico among others.
If your position is, “That’ll never happen,” get ready to kiss your ass good-bye!
Those of us in the international LaRouche Movement find it preferable to make the shift to a new paradigm, and if you try, you’ll discover that it’s also a lot easier than turning around and attempting to kiss your own backside. So don’t be a human pretzel! Join the fight. It is worth remembering the words of a German friend, who began leafleting with the “White Rose” resistance to Adolf Hitler as a child (and hence spared execution because he was under-age, a reprieve not granted by the IDF): “I decided to mobilize with the White Rose because I had studied a map of the world, and based on that, I knew that Hitler would lose.”
