Israel has closed the only connection between the West Bank and Jordan. “Under the direction of the political echelon, the Allenby Crossing will be closed to passengers and cargo … until further notice,” the Israel Airports Authority said, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The crossing had been temporarily closed in response to a Sept. 19 attack on a checkpoint. It had just reopened to pedestrian traffic on Monday, and now it is closed indefinitely.
