Israel Escalates Its Genocide against Gaza City

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are continuing their campaign to demolish Gaza City. The IDF boasted on Sept. 12 that it had hit over 500 targets in Gaza City this week, in five main waves. The first three waves focused on Gaza City’s Daraj, Tuffah and Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods. In recent days, the IDF says it expanded its strikes to the Shati camp and additional areas in Sheikh Radwan. The strikes have destroyed multiple high-rise towers, which the IDF, as usual, claimed were being used by Hamas for surveillance, as sniper posts, to store weapons, etc.

Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reported that Israeli fighter jets were dropping bombs “every 10 to 15 minutes” on residential buildings and public facilities in Gaza City today. “The pace and pattern of the attacks suggest one thing: The Israeli army is deliberately putting extreme pressure on places that are densely populated with displaced families.”
