Hussein Askary, the Schiller Institute’s Southwest Asia Coordinator, accuses Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of pursuing a “final solution” to the Palestinian issue, comparing current policies to Hitler’s extermination plan. He argued that Israel seeks either the elimination or forced displacement of Palestinians, while expanding its regional influence under U.S. protection.
In his conversation with the Egypt Independent, Askary highlighted the increasing international isolation of Israel and the U.S., noting that 142 countries recently backed a UN resolution in support of Palestinian statehood. But Israel will not stop unless forced to do so by an external force, he said: either the U.S. or a joint force of Arab and Muslim countries could lead to disastrous outcomes.
