Israeli orchestra conductor Ilan Volkov was arrested on

Sept. 19 at a demonstration near the Gaza border. The protesters’ statement said that “this action was part of a joint effort with the ‘Sumud’ flotilla, which is currently en route to Gaza, with the goal of breaking the siege by both sea and land. The activists, most of whom are Israeli-Jews, called on the international community, stating that only an international boycott and isolation of Israel can stop the genocide and end the decades-long Zionist apartheid regime.” Some of the signs read: “Isolate Israel” and “Stop Zionist terror.”

The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) is bringing aid to Gaza, while facing arrests by Israeli authorities. The latest flotilla, while harbored in Tripoli, was hit by drones. GSF, presently includes people from over 40 countries, including activists from the Global March to Gaza, Sumud Convoy, Sumud Nusantara, and the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Their call to conscience is to confront international complicity in the ongoing genocide.
