Jeffrey Sachs on Israel's ‘Darkest Crimes’—Calls for Resolution 377 at UNGA

Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, together with his regular co-author Sybil Fares (a Mideast advisor at the UN organization SDSN), published an article on Sept. 1 titled “How To Stop Israel from Starving Gaza—Israel has crossed the clear line into the darkest crimes.” He places the blame for the continuing genocide in Gaza largely on the complicity of the U.S. for Israel’s “mass starvation of the population as well as direct mass murders and the physical destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure.” Interestingly, he adds: “Palantir, through ‘Lavendar,’ provides the AI for efficient mass murder. Microsoft, through Azure cloud services, and Google and Amazon through the ‘Nimbus’ initiative, supply core tech infrastructure for the Israeli army.”

The authors insist that the world has failed to stop the horror despite overwhelming recognition of the genocide and naming both Israel and the U.S. as responsible parties. Even within the U.S., they note, “58% of Americans want the UN to recognize the State of Palestine, compared to only 33% who do not. Moreover, 60% of Americans oppose Israel’s actions in Gaza.”
