Even as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House yesterday, there was no sign that Israel would be letting up on its brutality towards the Palestinians. IDF ground action and airstrikes continued today, along with stepped up attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank.
The official death toll in Gaza from Israeli military action surpassed 66,000 last weekend. The Gaza health ministry reported 42 dead and 190 wounded arriving at Gaza hospitals over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total since Oct. 7, 2023, to 66,097 killed and 168,536 wounded.
Middle East Eye reported on Sept. 29 that Israel bombed homes belonging to prominent Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, killing dozens of people, after they had refused to cooperate with the Israeli army against Hamas.
