Peskov Indicates ‘Pause’ in U.S.-Russia Negotiations as Trump Warns of Sanctions

Speaking to reporters today, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that there was communication through the three “dialogues” that had been set up in the last meeting of the Istanbul group, but he also indicated that presently there was a “pause” in the negotiations. He urged observers interested in peace negotiations not to see things through “rose-colored glasses,” perhaps a subtle message to President Trump, who is continually rumbling about imposing more sanctions on Russian oil and gas, if an immediate solution isn’t adopted.
