Russian warnings of war due to NATO’s hostility persist. This morning, Dmitry Peskov went so far as to say that NATO is already de facto at war with Russia. “NATO is at war with Russia,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a news briefing, reported TASS. “It’s evident, and it doesn’t need any additional confirmation,” he said. “NATO is de facto taking part in this war” by providing direct and indirect support to the Kiev regime.

Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, ridiculed the notion that the creation of a no-fly zone over Ukraine, presumably to be enforced by NATO, would be a good idea. “[I]f they go ahead with the provocative idea floated by the dimwits in Kiev and elsewhere to create a ‘no-fly zone’ over ‘Ukraine’ and allow NATO countries to shoot down our UAVs, it will mean only one thing—a war between NATO and Russia,” he said on his Telegram channel. According to TASS, Medvedev was commenting on a statement by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on the introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

In the same posting, Medvedev also warned EU countries against stealing frozen Russian assets to use them to support Ukraine. “Now, about the stealing of Russian property in the guise of a ‘loan to Ukraine backed by Russian assets as collateral’—an idea cherished by assorted freaks from Brussels and EU countries. Should it happen, Russia will go after the EU states, as well as the degenerates from Brussels and individual EU countries that attempt to confiscate our stuff, until the end of time, with everything we’ve got “ he said. “These claims won’t be dismissed due to acquisitive prescription, and no statutes of limitations will save them from being brought to justice for international crimes. We’ll go after them in all possible international and national courts.”
