The 24th meeting of ministers of economic affairs and trade of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states took place on Sept. 6 in Vladivostok, with member states agreeing to strengthen regional economic integration and reaffirming their commitment to a multilateral trading system and closer cooperation on global supply chains, China’s Commerce Ministry said in a statement on Sept. 6, according to Global Times. Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong attended the meeting, the statement noted.

The session focused on implementing the key consensus reached during the 25th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State and resulted in the issuance of a joint statement by the ministers outlining measures to promote sustainable economic growth within the organization, per the statement.
