Türkiye and Egypt Hold Naval Drills for First Time in 13 Years

For the first time in 13 years Türkiye and Egypt will hold joint naval drill between Sept. 22-26, according to a statement by Türkiye’s defense ministry.

Dubbed Friendship Sea, the exercise will take place in the Eastern Mediterranean and include Turkish frigates, fast attack vessels, a submarine and F-16 fighter jets, alongside Egyptian naval units, the ministry said in a statement released on Sept.18.
