While it was far from the first time that Ukraine deliberately launched drone attacks against Russian civilian targets, this one blatantly targeted Crimea and a sanatorium and a school, resulting in three reported deaths and 14 wounded. While the casualties were relatively low, the sinister nature of the targeting will no doubt result in major retaliation from the Russian side.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the strike targeted civilian targets in a resort area where there are no military installations. Investigators are also currently identifying the Ukrainian soldiers involved in issuing and executing the illegal order to attack civilian targets in Russia.
