Polls Show, U.S. Voters Turn Against Israel's Netanyahu and the War on Gaza

In the latest Quinnipiac University poll of registered voters in the U.S., half of them now say Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, a record high. Quinnipiac surveyed 1,276 such voters Sept. 18-21 and reported several related findings.

There has been a dramatic drop in those who think backing Israel is in the national interest of the U.S. It has gone from 69% “Yes” in December 2023 to 47% now (with the “No” response climbing from 23% to 41%). Now, Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu gets a 21% favorable rating, with 49% finding him unfavorable. And on U.S. President Donald Trump’s handling of the Gaza war, his support is down to 31% (with 56% disapproving).
