EIR Weekly: Consolidating Peace by Connecting the World

The Oct. 31 issue of EIR weekly has been released, featuring a package on the needed policy of “peace through development,” and how this could be manifest in both Israel-Palestine as well as between the U.S. and Russia. We include a feature interview with H.E. Ambassador Prof. Dr. Manuel Hassassian, the Palestinian Authority’s Ambassador to Denmark, conducted by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder of the Schiller Institute. During the interview, Ambassador Hassassian praises the LaRouche Oasis Plan, saying “this is the right time” to promote it. We also publish an article about last week’s breakout EIR Seminar, “The Bering Strait Tunnel Project Can Open a New Era of Peace Through Development,” including the keynote address by Helga Zepp-LaRouche.

On the subject of the rising significance of the Global Majority, this issue of EIR includes an in-depth analysis of some of the recent megaprojects being built in Africa, from a major national railroad grid in Nigeria to a newly-christened dam in Ethiopia—the largest on the continent. The issue concludes with a delightful, short article by Lyndon LaRouche, an excerpt of remarks he made in 1996 in Moscow, in dialogue with Russian scientists. LaRouche describes the actual metric for measuring economic progress: Mankind himself.
