Israeli Attacks Continue in Lebanon and on the West Bank

While Israel is ostensibly abiding by the peace agreement in Gaza, it continues destabilizing attacks in southern Lebanon and the West Bank. A correspondent for Al Mayadeen reported at dawn local time on Oct. 11 of Israeli strikes on the border towns of al-Musaylih and al-Najariya, killing one and wounding five. The Israeli raids specifically targeted excavation equipment and bulldozers operating in the area, in an obvious attempt to prevent reconstruction activities in these areas. Israel and Hezbollah signed a ceasefire agreement on Nov. 27, 2024, but Israel has been violating it nearly every day since.

In the West Bank, it is harvest season in the olive groves, but Israeli settlers have been assaulting Palestinian harvesters and vandalizing the groves for weeks, all while under the protection of the Israeli army. Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farmers on Oct. 11, while they were harvesting olives in various areas of Nablus and Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to Al Mayadeen.
