Dennis Radtke, who is chairman of the Christian Democratic Workers’ Association of Germany (CDA), attacked CDU party chairman (and Chancellor) Friedrich Merz for his recent remarks that inner-city problems could be solved by sending more immigrants “home.” Radtke told Funke Group newspapers: “Problems such as drug addiction, homelessness, and machismo among young people cannot be deported, but must be tackled.”
