Speaking at the Knesset on Oct. 20, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israeli forces dropped 153 tons of bombs on Gaza on Oct. 19. Israel declared it launched the airstrikes because it claims that two Israeli soldiers were killed in an attack by Hamas, but Hamas officials responded that they are unaware of any attacks on Israeli soldiers. Despite the ceasefire, at least 45 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the last 48 hours.
