Netanyahu's Israel Announces Continued Starvation Policy in Gaza

Not only did the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reportedly kill as many as 9 Palestinians in Gaza and wound another 38, despite the ceasefire, they have vowed to continue the policy of mass starvation. The IDF informed the United Nations that it will not reopen the Rafah crossing on the Gaza-Egypt border on Oct. 15 as specified in the ceasefire deal; and the overall amount of aid allowed into Gaza will be cut in half, from 600 trucks a day to which Israel had committed, to only 300; and no fuel or gas will be allowed into Gaza, except for specific needs related to “humanitarian infrastructure,” Reuters reported.

On what pretext? That Hamas had not immediately turned over all 28 of the dead hostages on the first day. Four bodies were transferred on Monday, Oct. 13, and were verified as among the hostages by Israel. Four more bodies were transferred Tuesday evening, Oct. 14.
