Orbán Tells Europeans, Middle East Peace Has Begun; Time for Talks To Settle Ukraine-Russia Conflict!

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán—who attended, at U.S. President Donald Trump’s invitation, the Oct. 13 Sharm al-Sheikh signing of the “Trump Declaration” for peace—is using the peace momentum in the Middle East to push Europe to change its policy that peace will come in Ukraine only by means of war.

“The guns have fallen silent, the hostages are free, and long-awaited peace reigns in the Middle East. President Donald Trump has made it happen!” Orbán posted on X. “Now it’s Europe’s turn. President Trump’s success proves that we must never give up on negotiations. Without talks, there’s no peace. It’s time for us Europeans to follow President Trump’s example!”

He had urged the same on his way to Egypt, posting that: “President Trump has made it happen, and if we do not fall for the pro-war siren calls, he will get it done in Ukraine as well. We must give him all the support he needs for that. Regardless of geography, size or weight, there exists a global pro-peace network that works together for peace everywhere, whether in the Middle East, the Caucasus, or Ukraine. Hungary is a proud member of this pro-peace network, the alliance of common-sense people.”
