U.K.’s Princess Anne Secretly Visited Ukraine, as British Royals Deploy for Ukraine War Policy

Britain’s Princess Anne, the older sister of King Charles III and a member of the House of Windsor inner core, at the request of the British Foreign Office, made a secret visit to Ukraine on Sept. 30. She met with Ukraine’s acting president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Royal House of Britain is with increasing tempo intervening into London’s foreign policy with Ukraine, sometimes on behalf of the Foreign Office, sometimes going beyond the Foreign Office and taking matters into its own hands.

On Oct. 1, Buckingham Palace released a statement regarding Anne’s trip: “The Princess Royal has visited Ukraine, at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, demonstrating solidarity with the children and families living through the Russian invasion and highlighting the traumatic experiences of children living on the frontline of the conflict. While in Kyiv, Her Royal Highness met President Zelenskyy and discussed the U.K.’s support for Ukraine and the country’s ongoing resistance.”

Buckingham Palace played up the ostensible charity visit, claiming “over 19,500 Ukrainian children have been transferred or deported by Russian forces to Russia and Ukraine’s occupied territories.” Despite this gross distortion, there is likely some pressing matter involved for the British Foreign Office to request that Anne urgently make this secret trip.

Less than three weeks earlier, King Charles’s son Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, showed up in Ukraine, also ostensibly on charity matters. On Sept. 12 he made what was declared to be a “surprise,” “unplanned” trip. Nonetheless, Anne’s nephew Prince Harry had a private meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. Prince Harry travelled to Ukraine after having met with his father three days earlier.

Charles is having direct meetings with Zelenskyy, in what appears to be the King’s taking the actor under his wing, for advancing British Empire policy.

On June 23, as part of Zelenskyy’s state visit to the United Kingdom, he met with King Charles privately for nearly an hour at Windsor Castle, discussing subjects including a build-up of Ukraine’s defense. On Aug. 24, Charles, a fanatical Russophobe, wrote to Zelenskyy, that, “I keep feeling the greatest and deepest admiration for the unbreakable courage and spirit of the Ukrainian people,” and “I remain hopeful that our countries will be able to further work closely together.” Zelenskyy responded: “We appreciate the United Kingdom’s leadership in supporting Ukraine and our just cause: to defend freedom from tyranny and ensure a lasting peace.”

The June 23 Windsor Castle meeting was the third time this year that Zelenskyy had met with King Charles. The two also had met in Oxfordshire in July 2024, on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit, and at Buckingham Palace in February 2023.

There have been at least 11 Ukrainian meetings with British royals, including William, Prince of Wales, mostly with Zelenskyy. This is not just “ceremonial,” but a “flooding of the zone,” to set policy.

King Charles laid it on thick for U.S. President Donald Trump on Sept. 17, wining and dining the President at Windsor Castle. Trump unfortunately stated how important it was that the British “gave us the works of Locke and Hobbes, Smith and Burke, Newton and Blackstone…. The legal, intellectual, cultural and political traditions of this kingdom have been among the highest achievements of mankind.” The British Empire is now pushing for war, to stop the Global Majority from establishing a new development and security order.
