Trump on Iran As Regional 'Bully'

In a lengthy phone interview with Time, President Donald Trump described the recent U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities as a turning point that created a “different Middle East.” He said the attacks “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities and reduced Tehran from a regional power to a “weakened” state.

Trump framed Iran as the destabilizing force that long prevented Arab-Israeli cooperation, arguing that eliminating its threat made possible the recent Gaza ceasefire and wider regional peace. If Iran were still “powerful and a bully, it would have been impossible to make a deal like this,” he said.
