The U.S. guided missile destroyer USS Gravely has docked in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, where it will remain until Oct. 30, so both countries can carry out training exercises, reported AP. U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Jenifer Neidhart de Ortiz said in a statement that the exercises seek to “address shared threats like transnational crime and build resilience through training, humanitarian missions, and security efforts.” Trinidad and Tobago is 11 km from the Venezuelan coast.
