Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican on Oct. 27 and declared that the peace process is active and progressing, despite attempts by Brussels to marginalize Hungary’s efforts. Following their meeting, Orbán was quoted in the Hungarian media as saying: “There is a war-opposing network in the world, with two focal points: one of power led by the U.S. President and one of spirit found here with the Holy Father. We draw strength, motivation and blessing from both.” He said that the meeting between the American and Russian presidents will still take place.
