The Caribbean/Venezuela situation is extremely worrying. The worst since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. There is no reason for the military buildup other than the overthrow of Maduro. When overwhelming military assets are gathered, it becomes more than likely it will be used. A group of former leaders of Caricom, incuding Ramotar, issued a statement a week ago demanding the Caribbean remain a zone of peace.
We are descending internationally into the law of the jungle. The U.S. fears the BRI, which the nations of the South find attractive because China actually build things. The U.S. views this as a threat, but they should not fear it. China targets no one. The U.S. can and should cooperate with the BRI.
The U.S. has great potential historically for doing good. Xi Jinping’s policy coincides with the LaRouche proposals, they have the same intention of North-South cooperation.
