China and Japan Agree Industry and Supply Chains Are More Important Than Geopolitics

China and Japan met together on the level of their economic ministers, where the primary news is that, despite geopolitical efforts to pit them against each other, both sides reported a civil exchange. China’s Ministry of Commerce posted that Minister Wang Wentao noted the current prevalence of unilateralism and protectionism, and stressed the need to rise and such disruptions so as to, in the words of Global Times, “jointly maintain stable and smooth industrial and supply chains.”
