On Nov. 12, EIR documented that Moran Global Strategies, the lobbying firm of former Virginian Congressman Jim Moran (D), which represents the Biafran separatists in Nigeria, was one likely source of the accusation of “Christian genocide” underway in the country—an accusation U.S. President Donald Trump used to threaten military intervention. However, Nigeria, a BRICS partner nation, is just one of the targets of the efforts to destabilize nations of the Global South in general, and of the BRICS, in particular.
Playing its part, knowingly or otherwise, in the British Empire destabilization strategy, Moran’s firm has taken on other African “clients” that appear to be part of the British age-old strategy of manipulating Africans to kill Africans. The question is whether the Trump administration will get sucked into this criminal activity.
EIR's investigation reveals that Moran lobbyists also represent the so-called Ambazonia Governing Council, a group that has been leading a violent separatist movement in western Cameroon, which has taken thousands of lives. Ambazonia, a former colony of Great Britain, forms the English-speaking region of Cameroon, a former French colony, and lies just across the Nigerian-Cameroon border from where the Biafra Republic Government operates. (The two organizations cooperate with one another.) The Ambazonian Defense Forces, military wing of the Ambazonia Governing Council, launched a war of rebellion in 2017 which continues to this day.
The leader of the Ambazonia Defense Forces is Ayaba Cho Lucas, who in March 2022 took responsibility in his Twitter account as the sponsor of a terrorist attack that left seven people dead, including the sub-prefect and the mayor of a city in the southwest region of Cameroon. Lucas was arrested in Norway in September 2024 and charged with incitement of crimes against humanity. These charges did not deter Moran from entering into a contract with Ambazonia Governing Council in December 2024.
