Over sixty-five people turned out to a boxing gym in the Bronx to hear from Congressional candidate Jose Vega and veterans Lt. Col. (ret.) Tony Aguilar and Josephine Guilbau who urged everyone to support Jose’s campaign to bring a badly needed independent voice into the congress. Long time LaRouche associate Dennis Speed was the moderator, and former US Senate candidate Diane Sare gave brief remarks at the end.
Many of the attendees were new, and came in from posters or social media, others had been met in the street or were activists from Jose’s previous campaign. What was evident is the total breakdown of the party system with people uniting over matters of war and peace, and economic justice, and general agreement that establishment politicians are bought off fraudsters who need to be replaced.
