“As I analyze the facts, I come to the conclusion that a war between Europe and Russia is becoming increasingly apparent. This is not empty talk—everyone is preparing for it,” said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in a Nov. 12 Serbian TV interview. Vucic was commenting on the Nov. 11 remarks by the Chief of the French Armed Forces General Staff Fabien Mandon, who said that France must be prepared for war with Russia in three to four years. Nov. 11 marked the 107th anniversary of the Armistice ending World War I in 1918.
Vucic said he finds Serbia in a difficult position between the West and Russia. In any case, Serbia must continue to strengthen its armed forces for defense.
