Speaking to reporters from the White House on Nov. 17, Trump said “it’s OK with me” if the U.S. were to launch strikes inside Mexico to stop drugs. “Would I do [what I’ve done in the water] on the land? I would absolutely.” Trump continued: “We know the addresses of every drug lord…. We know everything about every one of them. They’re killing our people. That’s like a war. Would I do it? I’d be proud to. I’d probably go to Congress and say, ‘Hey.’ And you know, the Democrats and the Republicans would both agree.”
Trump also said he would be “proud” to attack the cocaine factories in Colombia.
