Hours After President Donald Trump indicated he would be willing to talk to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, his own State Department said that it would soon be declaring Maduro a terrorist leader.
Trump claimed yesterday that the U.S. “may be having some discussions” with Maduro. He didn’t offer details about the possible discussions, but said “Venezuela would like to talk.”
When asked what he meant when he said Maduro wants to talk, Trump simply said: “What does it mean? You tell me, I don’t know.”
