Trump Threatens Nigerian Invasion—To Save Endangered Christians

As if the threatened invasion of Venezuela were not enough, U.S. President Donald Trump has now threatened the nation of Nigeria with invasion. The fact that these two countries are the largest non-Arabic members of OPEC has not gone unnoticed.

“If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now-disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities. I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action” erupted Trump on his Truth Social portal on Saturday, Nov. 1, finishing off with some self-aggrandizing words, that “If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians!”

This marks a continuation and upscaling of the crusade begun by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) last month, when he introduced—with great fanfare, but zero co-sponsors—a bill to place Nigeria back on the State Department’s Country of Particular Concern list, which Secretary of State Marco Rubio dutifully did on Oct. 31. Apparently Trump thought this additional step was necessary, or at least justified.

Trump’s ejaculation, however, shows how little he knows about Nigeria. If he really intends to go into the country “guns-a-blazing,” he will be killing mostly “cherished Christians,” since the Muslims are predominantly in the northern half of the country.
