U.S. Manufacturing Contracted in October

On Nov. 3, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) issued it results from its purchasing managers’ index, which shows that U.S. factory activity has been contracting for eight months in a row and that this contraction intensified during the month of October. The survey also showed higher prices, although October’s price-rise was less than September’s.
