Venezuela’s top opposition leader, the unfortunately-awarded Nobel Laureate María Corina Machado, who has promised Wall Street that she will hand Venezuela’s resources over to them if she is President, has declared her country to be “at the edge of a new era” in a so-called “freedom manifesto” released Tuesday, Nov. 18.
“This regime’s long and violent abuse of power is ending. A new Venezuela is emerging from the ashes, renewed in spirit and united in purpose, like a phoenix reborn—fierce, radiant, and unstoppable,” wrote Machado, reported The Guardian.
“The criminal regime must be held accountable,” she went on. Machado claimed that a regime change would protect Venezuela from “future oppressive tyrannies, dictatorships, and despots,” though she provided no details or plans. She did, however, say she has a plan for the first 100 hours and first 100 days as soon as Maduro leaves office.
