At an event on Dec. 1, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever let slip some truths that are generally not supposed to be mentioned inside the bubble of NATO-land. Belgium has been under heavy pressure by the EU to steal the 140 billion euros of frozen Russian Central Bank deposits stored in Belgium, which the government has been resisting. In response to a question by a journalist from La Libre, De Wever ridiculed the narrative around seizing Russia’s assets for Ukraine, and even insisted that there was no way Russia would lose the war.
