At an event on Dec. 1, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever let slip some truths that are generally not supposed to be mentioned inside the bubble of NATO-land. Belgium has been under heavy pressure by the EU to steal the €140 billion of frozen Russian Central Bank deposits stored in Belgium, which the government has been resisting. In response to a question by a journalist from La Libre, De Wever ridiculed the narrative around seizing Russia’s assets for Ukraine, and even insisted there was no way Russia would lose the war.
