The Czech Foreign Affairs Committee of the lower house has endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump’s effort to end the war in Ukraine while preserving the country’s statehood. The chairman of the Prime Minister’s ANO party, Radek Vondracek, supported the efforts by Trump, and which was also supported by some opposition parties. He said that without the U.S., there could be no peace in Ukraine. The committee also rejected further military support for Ukraine, especially through the Czech ammunition program. The previous Czech government was one of the strongest supporters of the war in Ukraine.
