Eric Lerner's Company Pours Cold Water on TAE Fusion Claims

In announcing its merger with Trump Media & Technology Group, the thermonuclear fusion firm TAE claims it will “site and commence construction of the first utility-scale fusion power plant in 2026.”

But this claim is not “at all credible” says an article posted by LPPFusion, founded by Eric Lerner, a former leader of the Fusion Energy Foundation co-founded by Lyndon LaRouche. TAE is among four companies claiming to be building or about to build an operating thermonuclear fusion power plant: CMS, Helion, and Helical Fusion.

“The problem is that none of these four companies has completed the scientific research needed to design a fusion generator,” claims LPPFusion. “None of the four companies has reached net energy, none is close to reaching it and, in fact, none is anywhere near as close as LPPFusion is.” In fact, TAE is running tests with pure hydrogen, meaning they are producing no fusion at all.
