While public opinion has been focused on the most prominent European figure sanctioned by the US government, former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, at least two of the other four targeted individuals have played an important role in the ongoing creation of a police state in Europe.
Josephine Ballon and Anna-Lena von Hodenberg run an organization called HateAid, which was instrumental in setting up the Stasi-like denunciation entity of the Hessen state government, the (in)famous Hessen Gegen Hetze. HateAid developed an app, called MeldeHelden, which was presented as a tool to allow victims of hate speech or antisemitism to file a report at the Hessen state-run entity. However, through the app one can also denounce third persons, who allegedly have committed a hate or antisemitism act.
