French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte arrived in Beijing on Dec. 3 for a three-day state visit. Unlike their arrival in Vietnam earlier this year, Macron avoided a push in the face from his wife Brigitte. While Macron is increasingly desperate for Chinese help with the collapsing French economy, he is also one-third of the “Coalition of the Willing,” frantically trying to keep the war going in Ukraine, or launching a direct NATO war against Russia, and will certainly try to get China’s acceptance of that madness.
Macron will start his trip with a visit to Beijing’s Forbidden City on Dec. 3, will meet President Xi Jinping on Dec. 4 in the capital and again on Dec. 5 during a trip to Chengdu, in southwestern Sichuan province.
