The over reportage on the Ukrainian frontline battle has been intensified for several weeks, as U.S. President Donald Trump has increased his pressure on Kiev to acknowledge battlefield realities. So, it is no surprise that Kimberly Kagan’s neo-con Institute for the Study of War has been under greater pressure to spin their daily progress reports.
However, on Dec. 14, New Voice of Ukraine reported that an overnight retraction, to undo a Russian advance, has upset the betting world. They report, based upon research by “404 Media” that Polymarket took bets, creating a “market on whether Russia would capture a specific intersection in Myrnohrad by mid-November.” They used the ISW daily interactive map, which showed that, by Nov. 15, the intersection was taken. There was over $1.3 million in trading volume and some bettors earned up to 33,000% returns.
