President Donald Trump gave a planned televised address Dec. 17 to promote his supposed achievements, which in most cases had no connection to reality, and in many cases were destructive. Trump structured his speech to attack “violent felons,” immigrants, “foreign drug cartels”—whose financial centers, the City of London and Wall Street, he has deliberately left untouched. He also directed his ire toward Joe Biden, who, as terrible as he was, actually outperformed Trump in some sectors of the economy.
The real issue is what Trump covered up: a gigantic financial derivatives- and crypto-laced casino bubble, which has existed for the past 60 years, but which Trump has significantly pumped up even in 11 months; and a collapse in the condition of the lower 40% of the American population, who live at an abysmal level.
