“We must start talking again with Russia,” President of The Patriots (a French party) Florian Philippot said in a post on X. He points in particular to the foolishness of Europe’s reliance on American LNG in light of breaking off energy deals with Russia.
He says that European countries must “stop the general paranoia,” “start talking again with Russia,” and “lift the sanctions and resume trade with Russia.” Ultimately, the solution is for France to leave the EU and for the “calamity” of the EU to fully disappear. Then each nation “regains its independence and defends its national interests.”
